Ghosts ‘n Goblins (Italian Bootleg, Harder) is a punishing arcade modification of the classic 1985 platformer. This unofficial version takes the famously unforgiving gameplay of the original and makes it even harder, altering enemy spawns and attack patterns to test the limits of your reflexes. Play as Arthur as he battles through hordes of undead to save the princess, if you can survive the heightened difficulty.

How to play

Your objective is to navigate Arthur through the demon realm, defeating enemies and avoiding hits, as one hit destroys your armor and a second costs a life. For standard browser arcade controls, use the Arrow keys to move and duck. Press 5 to insert a coin and 1 to start. Use Ctrl (or Z) to jump and Alt (or X) to throw your current weapon.

Tips

Never rush forward blindly; enemies like the Red Arremer are extremely aggressive in this bootleg version, so trigger them carefully and retreat if necessary. Always prioritize keeping the Knife weapon, as its fast travel speed allows you to deal with the increased enemy density much better than the standard Lance.
