Genix Family is an arcade action game released by NIX in 1994. Set in the Old West, it takes the classic bubble-popping gameplay of Pang and expands on it. Players navigate the screen to split and destroy bouncing objects by firing upwards.
How to play
Dodge the bouncing targets and shoot them to break them down into smaller pieces until they are destroyed. In a twist on the usual formula, you have a health bar, power-ups to collect, and the ability to jump to reposition yourself.
- Arrow Keys: Move left, right, and jump
- Z / X: Fire
- Shift: Insert Coin
- Enter: Start
Tips
- Take advantage of your jump to escape tight spots, but be careful not to leap directly into the path of a smaller target.
- Prioritize grabbing power-ups as soon as they drop to upgrade your firepower and make crowd control much easier.
