Geimos is an early pseudo-3D rail shooter released for the Nintendo Famicom in 1985 by ASCII and Micronics. Piloting a spaceship across six planets in the solar system, players must survive waves of enemies using a combination of forward-firing lasers and ground-targeting bombs. The game features two distinct control settingsโMode A for free movement around the screen, and Mode B where your ship remains fixed in the centerโoffering a slightly different challenge depending on your playstyle.
How to Play
Your objective is to reach the end of each planet’s stage and destroy the boss mothership. Use your lasers to take out flying enemies and drop bombs on ground installations.
- Move: Arrow keys (D-pad)
- Fire Weapons: Z and X (A and B buttons)
- Start / Pause: Enter (Start)
- Select Mode: Shift (Select)
Tips
- Defeat bosses quickly: When you reach the mothership at the end of a stage, you must destroy its small central core before the strict time limit expires. If you fail, you will be forced to restart the entire level.
- Focus your fire: Boss cores present a very small target. Align your ship carefully and unleash a constant stream of shots to break through before time runs out.
