Gang Busters, also known in Japan as Crazy Cop, is a 1988 top-down run-and-gun arcade game developed by Konami. You play as police officers Smith and Wesson as they pursue the dangerous Dagrus Mob through city streets, harbors, and railways after a major bank heist. Along the way, you must shoot down gangsters, avoid crossfire, and bundle criminals into waiting police cars to successfully clear areas.
How to play
Insert a virtual coin using Shift and press Enter to start. Use the arrow keys to move your officer in eight directions. The primary button (Z) fires your standard weapon, while the secondary button (X) unleashes a powerful but limited super rocket attack to clear the screen of enemies.
Tips
- Focus on picking up power-ups dropped by defeated mobsters to upgrade your standard firepower.
- Save your super rockets for desperate situations when you are surrounded, as they are highly effective for crowd control.
