🎮 Play Galaxian Namco Set 1 Online (Arcade)

Galaxian is a seminal fixed shooter arcade game developed by Namco and released in 1979. Building upon the foundation laid by earlier space shooters, it introduced full RGB color graphics and enemy aliens that dynamically break formation to dive-bomb the player’s ship, the Galaxip. Its colorful sprites and scrolling starfield backdrop set a new standard for arcade shoot-’em-ups at the close of the 1970s.

How to Play

The objective is to clear each stage of the alien fleet. You control the Galaxip at the bottom of the screen, moving left and right while firing at the insect-like aliens above. Playable in your web browser, use the arrow keys to move your ship and Z, X, or Space to fire. Insert a coin using Shift, and press Enter to begin the game.

Tips

• Prioritize destroying the flagship Galaxians when they dive with red escorts; shooting them while they are in flight awards significantly more points than shooting them in formation.
• Because you can only have one shot on the screen at a time, timing your fire and moving with your shots is essential to avoid being left defenseless.
