Game description:

Fire Shark No Sound is an intense 1990 vertically scrolling arcade shoot 'em up developed by Toaplan. Serving as the high-speed sequel to Flying Shark, it puts you in the cockpit of a vintage biplane equipped with devastating, screen-filling weapons to take down a massive enemy armada. This specific version runs without audio—a quirk of early emulation due to the original hardware's protected sound chip—but retains all of the challenging, fast-paced action the developer is famous for.

How to Play

Your objective is to survive continuous waves of enemy aircraft, tanks, and ships while collecting power-ups to expand your firepower. Use the Arrow Keys to maneuver your biplane, press Z to fire, and use X to deploy screen-clearing bombs. Press Shift to insert a virtual coin and Enter to start the game.

Tips

  • Manage your spread: The wide spread shot is incredibly powerful when fully upgraded, but covering the screen in your own projectiles can sometimes make it harder to spot incoming enemy fire.
  • Save bombs for survival: Use your limited bombs defensively when you are cornered to instantly clear incoming bullets, rather than just using them for extra damage.
