Game description:

Famimaga Disk Vol. 4 – Clox is a unique falling-block puzzle game published by Tokuma Shoten in 1991 for the Famicom Disk System. Instead of standard geometric pieces, you manage descending clock faces, each featuring hands set to specific angles. By carefully rotating and arranging these clocks within the well, you connect their hands to form closed shapes like squares and diamonds, clearing them from the board to earn points and survive as the speed increases.

How to play

Use the Arrow keys to move the falling clocks left or right, and press Z or X to rotate their hands. Connect the hands of adjacent clocks to form a continuous closed loop, which clears the pieces. If you make a mistake, you can hold the Down arrow to drop a clock at high speed and crush the piece beneath it, though this is a limited ability you should use strategically.

Tips

  • Always keep track of your remaining crushes; save them for when a misplaced piece blocks you from completing a large shape.
  • Try to build open shapes on the sides of the well, leaving the center clear to drop the final connecting clock face.
