Game description:

Released in 1991 for the NES by GameTek and developed by Beam Software, Family Feud brings the classic television game show directly to your home. Players compete against another family to guess the most popular responses to various survey questions, attempting to outscore their opponents and earn a chance at the grand prize.

How to Play

The objective is to guess the top survey answers and accumulate 300 points to advance to the Fast Money round, where you aim to win $20,000. For the NES, use the D-pad to navigate the on-screen keyboard, the A button to select letters and submit your answers, and Start or Select for menu options. When playing in the browser, the D-pad is mapped to the arrow keys, the A button is on Z or X, and Start/Select are on Enter/Shift.

Tips

  • Think broadly: Remember that you are trying to guess how a survey of 100 average people responded, so common-sense, simple answers are usually better than overly specific ones.
  • Type quickly: You are on a timer when entering answers. The game’s text parser is somewhat forgiving of minor spelling mistakes, so focus on getting the word entered rather than perfect spelling.
