Game description:

Released by Konami in 1987, Exciting Boxing is an incredibly unique first-person boxing simulation for the NES (Famicom). It stands out as one of the console’s most experimental titles because it was originally bundled with a life-sized inflatable boxing bag that served as the game’s physical controller.

How to Play

While the original hardware required players to physically punch an inflatable bag’s built-in pressure sensors to trigger on-screen jabs and hooks, you can play this version using standard browser controls. You can train your boxer to improve speed and power stats before taking on seven increasingly difficult opponents across different weight classes. Use the D-pad (mapped to your Arrow Keys) to maneuver, and the A and B buttons (Z and X) to throw punches.

Tips

Spend plenty of time in Training mode before jumping into real fights; building up your stats is critical for taking down the faster, heavier opponents. Manage your stamina carefully during matches, and rely on well-timed blocks to create openings for counter-punches instead of just swinging wildly.
