Game description:

Developed by Konami in 1987, Exciting Baseball is a Japan-exclusive sports release originally developed for the Famicom Disk System. It offers a traditional 8-bit take on the sport, allowing players to pitch, hit, and field across standard exhibition matches. As one of the earlier attempts at a home console baseball simulation, it provides a straightforward, no-frills recreation of the game.

How to Play

The goal is to outscore the opposing team across nine innings. In the browser, the original Famicom Disk System controls are mapped to your keyboard:

  • Arrow Keys: Move players, aim pitches, or direct hits (D-pad)
  • Z Key: Swing bat or throw pitch (A button)
  • X Key: Return to base or cancel action (B button)
  • Enter: Pause or start the game (Start)
  • Shift: Select options (Select)
