Elevator Action is a classic 1985 action-platformer port for the NES, originally developed by Taito. Players take on the role of Agent 17, a spy tasked with infiltrating a 30-story building to steal top-secret documents. You must carefully navigate a complex network of elevators and escalators while dodging enemy spies and retrieving files located behind red doors, all before making a daring getaway in the basement parking garage.
How to Play
The objective is to collect all the hidden documents and successfully reach your getaway car at the bottom of the building. For this NES port, use the D-pad to move and duck, the A button to jump, and the B button to shoot. In the browser emulator, these map to the arrow keys for movement, Z to jump, X to shoot, and Enter to pause.
Tips
- Shoot out overhead light fixtures to plunge sections of the building into darkness. This delays enemy reactions and gives you a tactical advantage.
- You can jump over or duck under incoming enemy fire, and you can also crush enemies below you by riding an elevator down onto them.
