Elevator Action II (often known as Elevator Action Returns) is a fast-paced 1994 arcade run-and-gun platformer developed by Taito. In this sequel to the original classic, players control a special forces operative tasked with infiltrating heavily guarded facilities. You must navigate complex high-rise buildings, ride elevators, and clear rooms to secure intelligence and stop the enemy plot.
How to Play
Your objective is to reach the exit of each stage while making sure to enter all the red doors to disarm bombs and gather data. In the browser, the default arcade controls are the Arrow keys to move and crouch, Z to shoot, X to jump, Shift to insert coins, and Enter to start. Pressing Up or Down at an elevator will control its movement, and pressing Up at a door allows you to enter it.
Tips
- Enter blue doors whenever possible to discover powerful weapon upgrades like assault rifles and missile launchers, or to find health items.
- Use your environment to your advantage by shooting explosive barrels and overhead lights to take out groups of enemies instantly.
- If an enemy gets too close, press the attack button for a quick melee strike, which is highly effective and saves special weapon ammo.
