🎮 Play Eight Forces Online (Arcade)

Eight Forces is a 1994 vertical shoot ’em up developed by Tecmo for the arcade. Often considered a side-story to the classic Star Force series, the game places you in the cockpit of a fighter ship facing down waves of enemies and massive bosses. It retains a very traditional, old-school arcade feel, demanding precision and careful power-up management.

How to play

Your objective is to survive the vertical scrolling stages by destroying enemy ships and avoiding their fire. Because the top-tier weapon power only lasts for a limited time, you must time your power-up collection strategically. For arcade controls in the browser, use the Arrow Keys to move, Z to shoot, X to use smart bombs, and Enter/Shift for Start and Insert Coin.

Tips

• Manage your power-ups: Since the maximum weapon power degrades over time, grab power-ups right before encountering bosses to maximize your damage output.
• Beware of durable enemies: Enemies in this game can take a surprising amount of damage. Don’t assume a target will die quickly; always be prepared to dodge if they survive your initial volley.
