Egger Land is a 1987 puzzle game developed by HAL Laboratory for the Famicom Disk System. As an early entry in the series that would later become known internationally as Adventures of Lolo, it tasks players with guiding the spherical hero Lolo through a series of grid-based, single-screen labyrinth rooms. You must strategically collect all the Heart Framers to open the exit while carefully avoiding or trapping a variety of enemies.
How to Play
The objective in each room is to collect every pink Heart Framer, which unlocks the jewel box and opens the door to the next stage. Along the way, you must block enemy attacks and navigate around obstacles using movable Emerald Framers.
- Move: Arrow Keys
- Magic Shot: Z or X
- Start / Pause: Enter
- Restart Room: Shift
Tips
- Watch Medusa’s Line of Sight: Medusas will instantly attack if Lolo crosses their direct horizontal or vertical path. Always push an Emerald Framer to block their line of sight before crossing.
- Conserve Your Magic: You only earn Magic Shots from specific Heart Framers. Use them to turn enemies into eggs, which can then be pushed to trap other foes or be used as temporary bridges across water.
- Restart If Stuck: It is very easy to push a block into a corner and trap yourself. Use the Shift key to immediately restart the room instead of waiting to be caught.
