Dyna Gear is a 1994 arcade run-and-gun from Scarab, published by Sammy, set in a bright, comic-book world overrun by dinosaurs. Up to two players pick from Roger, a fast fighter in football-style armor, or Wolf, a hulking werewolf ally, and fight through terrain that keeps scrolling forward — hills, slopes, climbable walls, and branches to swing from — with no going back once a level is underway.
How to play
Use the arrow keys to move and to climb or grapple the slopes, walls, and branches along the way; the game keeps you pushing forward, so watch the terrain rather than trying to backtrack. Attack with Z, which switches between four weapon types picked up through the stage — a quick-swinging sword, a wide-arcing axe, homing arrows, and a spinning ball-and-chain — each with a stronger version if you hold the button down. Defeated dinosaurs drop steaks that restore health, and downed enemies burst into coins for score.
