Dig Dug on the Game Boy is a 1992 port of the classic arcade action game by Namco. You play as the tunneling hero Taizo Hori, digging through the dirt to defeat subterranean monsters like the round Pooka and the fire-breathing Fygar.
How to Play
Your objective is to clear all enemies from each stage. You can eliminate them by firing your air pump harpoon to inflate them until they pop, or by tunneling beneath rocks to crush pursuing monsters. Use the Arrow keys to move and dig in any direction, press Z or X to use your pump, and press Enter to Start.
Tips
- You can pump an enemy just once or twice to stun them temporarily, allowing you to walk safely past them.
- Luring multiple enemies under a single rock before dropping it awards massive bonus points.
- Fygars can only breathe fire horizontally, so it is safer to approach them from above or below.
