Cyber Speed is a 1995 futuristic racing game developed by Mindscape for the PlayStation. Unlike traditional hover-racers, players pilot anti-gravity ships that are magnetically tethered to a suspended energy ribbon, swinging around corners at high speeds. Set in the 21st century, the game pits you against international competitors across challenging global courses, using weapons and precise steering to secure first place.

How to Play

The objective is to master the energy ribbon’s momentum and finish ahead of the pack while managing your ship’s shields and weapons. By default, the PlayStation emulator maps the D-pad to your Arrow Keys for steering. Press Z (Cross) to accelerate, X (Circle) to use your weapon, and A or S (Square/Triangle) for braking and changing views. Use Enter to start the game.

Tips

• Because your ship is tethered, cornering relies heavily on momentum—swing wide on entry and steer tightly through the apex to maintain top speed.
• Save your weapons for straightaways where opponents have less room to evade, and always keep an eye on your own shield meter after taking hits.
