Game description:

Originally released in 1981, Crush Roller Kural Bootleg is an unofficial arcade release of the classic maze game Crush Roller (also known as Make Trax in North America). The player controls a paintbrush tasked with painting every path in a labyrinth while avoiding two pursuing fish. As an early and distinct spin on the maze chase genre established by Pac-Man, the game requires careful pathfinding to coat the entire level efficiently without getting cornered.

How to Play

Guide your paintbrush through the maze to color every path before losing all your lives. You can use two roller components found in the maze to temporarily squish the pursuing fish. For this classic arcade setup, use the arrow keys to move, insert coins using Shift (or 5), and begin the game by pressing Enter (or 1).

Tips

  • Plan your route to minimize backtracking. Leaving small unpainted gaps will force you to return to dangerous areas later.
  • Save the two paint rollers in the maze for emergencies. Using them crushes the pursuing fish and gives you a temporary breather.
  • Watch out for the nuisance character (such as a tire or animal) that occasionally wanders into the maze and leaves tracks on your painted paths; you will need to roll over those tracks again to clear the stage.
