Game description:

Croquis (also known as Logic Pro) is a fast-paced arcade puzzle game developed by Deniam Corp. in 1996. Following the classic nonogram or picross formula, the game tasks you with filling in squares on a grid based on numerical clues to reveal hidden pixel art pictures. What sets it apart is its intense arcade design: you must solve the boards against a strict time limit rather than at your leisure, all while following the quirky story of a gorilla named Leela trying to become a human.

How to Play

The numbers on the top and left sides of the grid indicate how many consecutive squares need to be filled in each row or column. Use the arrow keys to move your cursor across the board, press Z to fill in a square, and X to mark an empty space to help you keep track. Press Enter or Shift to start. Be careful: making a mistake will cost you precious time, but playing accurately can restore your timer and grant you helpful power-ups.

Tips

  • Start with the biggest clues: Always look for rows or columns with numbers that span most of the grid. Filling these first gives you a solid foundation to figure out intersecting lines.
  • Don’t guess: Uncovering wrong squares will penalize your time limit. If you aren’t absolutely sure about a square, mark it with an X or leave it blank until you solve more intersecting clues.
