Creatures Raised in Space is an artificial life simulation game for the PlayStation, adapting the complex PC game Creatures 3 for console players. Set aboard a massive abandoned spaceship, you are tasked with hatching, raising, and caring for a species of intelligent creatures known as Norns.
Because Norns have their own artificial intelligence, you cannot control them directly. Instead, you control a fairy named Scrubby who acts as your cursor. Use the D-pad (mapped to the arrow keys) to fly Scrubby around, and the face buttons (mapped to Z, X, A, and S in your browser) to pick up objects, tickle the Norns to reward them, or slap them to discourage bad behavior. By using positive reinforcement, you can train your Norns to feed themselves, operate machinery, and safely explore the ship.
Tips: Focus on teaching your Norns basic survival first, such as how to find food when hungry, before letting them roam freely. Keep an eye out for poisonous plants and steer your younger Norns away from them until they are smart enough to avoid hazards on their own.
