Cotocoto Cottong is a classic 1982 arcade puzzle game. Widely identified as an unofficial bootleg of Konami’s Loco-Motion (also known as Guttang Gottong), it challenges players to slide tiles around a grid to build a safe, continuous track for a moving train. While keeping the same core tile-sliding gameplay as the original, this version features altered graphics for the tracks, characters, and on-screen text.
How to Play
The objective is to guide your locomotive safely by sliding track tiles into its path before it derails or crashes into the edge of the board. You must pick up passengers waiting at various stations along the way. In the browser, use the Arrow Keys to act as the arcade joystick for sliding tiles. Press Shift to insert a coin, Enter to start, and use Z or X as the action buttons to speed up your train when the path ahead is clear.
Tips
- Plan your route ahead of the train; don’t just focus on the tile immediately in front of it.
- Use the speed-up button to quickly clear levels once you have a safe, continuous loop set up, scoring bonus points for remaining time.
- Keep an eye on the edges of the board, as the train will crash if it runs off an open track.
