Commando Sega is a fixed-screen arcade shooter released in 1983, developed by ELS and published by Sega. Running on Namco Rally-X hardware, this classic title is entirely distinct from Capcom’s famous 1985 run-and-gun game of the same name. Instead, it plays more like a blend of Space Invaders and Missile Command, tasking you with defending the ground against relentless waves of enemy aircraft.
How to Play
Take command of a mobile anti-aircraft tank positioned at the bottom of the screen. Your primary objective is to survive and shoot down as many enemy airplanes as possible as they attack from above. Use the arrow keys to maneuver your tank left and right along the ground, and press the Z or X key to fire your turret into the sky.
Tips
- Focus on tracking the movement patterns of the enemy planes, leading your shots slightly ahead of their flight path.
- Avoid staying in one place for too long, as the enemy aircraft will continuously try to line up strikes against your position.
