Bubble Bobble 2 (Japan), released for the NES by Taito, is a direct sequel to the original arcade classic. How to Play
Your goal is to clear all enemies from the screen to advance to the next level. Use the arrow keys to move, press Z and X to jump and blow bubbles, and use Enter and Shift for Start and Select. Trap enemies inside bubbles, then jump on them to pop the bubbles and turn the enemies into bonus items.
Tips
- Ride the bubbles: Hold the jump button to bounce on top of your own bubbles without popping them, which is essential for reaching high platforms.
- Chain your pops: Popping multiple trapped enemies at the exact same time will reward you with significantly higher points and better item drops.
- Watch the clock: If you take too long to clear a stage, an invincible ghost (Baron von Blubba) will appear and chase you until you lose a life or finish the level.
