Developed by Titus Software and released in 1993 for the SNES, The Brainies is a grid-based puzzle game where you must guide quirky, brightly-colored creatures to their matching home pads before time runs out. The catch is that once a Brainy starts moving, it slides continuously until it hits an obstacle or another character, turning each level into a tricky test of spatial planning.
How to Play
Use the D-pad (arrow keys) to move your cursor or selected Brainy, and the A or B buttons (Z or X) to grab and release them. Start (Enter) pauses the game. To complete a stage, every Brainy must be resting on its correspondingly colored pad when the timer stops.
Tips
- Because Brainies only stop when they hit a solid object, you will frequently need to position one Brainy as a temporary wall to help guide another to its target.
- If you make a mistake and get a Brainy permanently stuck in a corner, it is often faster to restart the level than let the timer run down.
