Bone Crusher is an obscure but action-packed arcade beat ’em up released in 1985. As a direct bootleg of Seibu Kaihatsu’s classic Knuckle Joe, it drops you into the role of a martial artist fighting off waves of motorcycle gang members, punks, and other thugs across a side-scrolling urban landscape.
How to Play
Your objective is to defeat all the enemies in each stage to advance. The game relies on an 8-way joystick for movement and two action buttons.
- Move: Arrow Keys
- Jump: Up Arrow
- Punch: Z
- Kick: X
- Block: Press Z and X simultaneously
- Insert Coin / Start: Shift / Enter
Tips
- Extended Attacks: If you hold down the punch or kick button, your character’s limb will stay extended, hitting enemies that walk into it. You must release the button to move or attack again.
- Jump Kicks: Mastering the jump kick is essential for dealing with enemies on motorcycles and avoiding getting surrounded.
- Blocking: Don’t forget that pressing both attack buttons simultaneously allows you to block incoming attacks, which is crucial in later, more crowded stages.
