Blast Chamber is a frantic multiplayer action-puzzle game released for the PlayStation in 1996 by Activision. Up to four players are trapped in a deadly, rotating cubic arena, each wearing a timed explosive collar. To survive, you must fight for possession of a single glowing crystal and throw it into your personal reactor to add time to your clock, all while tackling opponents and using special floor panels to rotate the entire room and shift gravity.
The objective is to be the last player surviving by keeping your explosive collar’s timer above zero. You must tackle opponents to knock the crystal loose or push them into environmental hazards. In the browser emulator, the PlayStation’s D-pad maps to the arrow keys for movement, while the face buttons (Cross, Circle, Square, Triangle) are typically mapped to the Z, X, A, and S keys for jumping, tackling, and throwing. Start and Select are mapped to Enter and Shift.
Rotating the chamber is your strongest disruptive move; hitting a rotation panel just as an opponent is about to score will shift gravity, ruining their shot and dropping the crystal. Avoid getting caught up in brawls, and always keep an eye on your timer so you aren’t left scrambling when your collar starts beeping.
