Barkley Shut Up and Jam 2 is a streetball video game developed and published by Accolade for the Sega Genesis in 1995, the sequel to 1994’s Barkley Shut Up and Jam!. Playing from a horizontal, side-on view, you pick two of ten fictional streetwise ballers and take on the opposition in fast, no-rules pickup basketball across eight different outdoor courts, each with its own urban backdrop of graffiti, rubble, and even a passing train. Charles Barkley himself doesn’t suit up, but his digitized voice calls the action from the sidelines.
How to Play
Score more baskets than your opponent in exhibition games or a full tournament (which saves your progress to the cartridge’s battery backup). Movement is loose and arcade-style, built around behind-the-back passes, alley-oops, and a deep set of dunks and trick moves rather than realistic basketball rules.
