Alien Syndrome is a classic top-down run-and-gun shooter developed by SEGA in 1987 for the Sega Master System. You play as troopers Ricky and Mary, infiltrating infested spacecraft to rescue kidnapped hostages from a gruesome alien menace. Armed with a variety of weapon upgrades, you must clear out the hordes and save your crew before the ship’s time bomb detonates, culminating in a fierce boss battle at the end of each stage.
The objective is to explore the labyrinthine levels and locate a set number of hostages to unlock the exit hatch. In the browser, movement is mapped to the Arrow keys, while you can fire your current weapon using the Z or X keys and start the game with Enter. Speed and precision are critical, as a strict timer ticks down continuously.
Always prioritize picking up weapon power-ups, like the laser or fireball, to replace your weak starting blaster. Avoid lingering in one spot, as enemies respawn endlessly, and head straight for the exit once it opens so you have plenty of time on the clock to defeat the boss.
