Developed by Treasure for the Sega Genesis in 1995, Alien Soldier is a relentless boss-rush run-and-gun shooter. Instead of long, sprawling levels, the game throws you immediately into rapid-fire boss encounters that test your reflexes. It stands as one of the most technically impressive and punishing action platformers in the 16-bit library.
How to Play
Your objective is to defeat a gauntlet of massive bosses while managing your health and weapons. You can carry four different weapons at a time and switch between them on the fly. The game features a unique control scheme that allows you to hover, counter enemy projectiles, and perform a powerful dash attack.

Tips
- Master the Zero Teleport: When your health is full, dashing through enemies inflicts massive damage and gives you brief invulnerability.
- Counter enemy projectiles: You can reflect many incoming bullets to heal yourself or deal damage, which is crucial for surviving later encounters.
- Experiment with weapons: Different bosses are vulnerable to different weapon types, so swap your loadout if you hit a wall.
