The Addams Family is an action platformer released by Ocean Software for the NES in 1991. You control Gomez Addams as he explores the family’s sprawling, non-linear mansion to rescue Morticia, Pugsley, Wednesday, and Granny. The game features open-ended exploration, secret rooms, and distinct environments hidden throughout the estate.

How to play

Your objective is to locate all missing family members, defeat the bosses guarding them, and gather items to aid your progress. Gomez can defeat most enemies by jumping on their heads.

Tips

The mansion is non-linear. If a section is too difficult, try exploring another path to find items or extra lives first.
Collecting $100,000 in cash gives you an extra life, so it is always worth grabbing money bags and exploring hidden areas for stashes.
Be careful with momentum; Gomez carries a bit of speed after you stop moving, which can make precision platforming tricky over hazards.
