RealSports Baseball is a classic sports simulation developed by Atari, Inc. and released in 1982. Brought to the Atari 7800, this title captures the core mechanics of baseball, offering players the chance to pitch, bat, and field in a traditional arcade-style recreation of the sport.
How to play
Take control of the diamond in both offensive and defensive innings. Use the arrow keys to aim pitches, direct your batters, and position outfielders. The Z and X keys correspond to the 7800’s primary action buttons for swinging the bat and throwing to bases. Press Shift to select your game mode, Enter to pause, and A to reset the match.
Tips
- When pitching, you can alter the ball’s trajectory mid-flight to throw off the batter’s timing.
- Position your outfielders early based on the batter’s swing direction to prevent extra base hits.
