Game description:

Shin Megami Tensei: Devil Children – Shiro no Sho (White Book) is a monster-taming role-playing game released for the Game Boy Color in 2001 by Atlus. A spin-off of the main Megami Tensei series aimed at a younger audience, it features a lighter tone where players negotiate with demons to recruit them, later fusing them together to create more powerful allies in their journey.

How to Play

Navigate the world and battle demons using the standard Game Boy Color controls. In the browser emulator, the D-pad is mapped to the arrow keys, A and B are mapped to Z and X, and Start and Select are mapped to Enter and Shift.

Tips

  • Demon negotiation can be unpredictable. Pay attention to a demon’s personality and the phase of the moon to increase your chances of a successful recruitment.
  • Regularly fuse your demons. Fused demons are generally much stronger than wild ones found in the current area and can inherit useful skills.
  • Keep a balanced party of different elemental affinities to exploit enemy weaknesses and protect yourself against magical attacks.
