Developed by Tecmo and released for the Sega Master System in 1993, Tecmo World Cup ’93 is a fast-paced arcade football game. It strips away the complexity of modern sports simulations to offer pure, accessible soccer action where positioning and quick passing matter most.
How to Play
The game relies on a simple two-button layout. Use the D-pad (mapped to your keyboard’s arrow keys) to move your players around the pitch. Button 1 (Z) is used for passing on offense and changing your active player on defense, while Button 2 (X) handles shooting and slide tackling.
Tips
- Keep your passes short and quick to break through the opponent’s defense, as holding onto the ball for too long usually results in being tackled.
- When defending, try to anticipate the attacker’s movements and use the slide tackle carefully to avoid leaving your goal exposed.
