Game description:

Released by Konami in 1998 for the Nintendo 64, G.A.S.P!! Fighters’ NEXTream (also known as Deadly Arts) is a 3D arena fighting game with a strong focus on character progression. Instead of relying solely on an established arcade roster, players can dive into a robust create-a-fighter mode to build their own martial artist and continuously learn new techniques from opponents they defeat.

How to Play

Your objective is to knock out your opponent or secure a higher technical score before time runs out. In the browser emulator, use the arrow keys to navigate the 3D arenas (representing the N64 control stick). Basic attacks, blocks, and throws are mapped to Z, X, C, and S (acting as the N64 face buttons and triggers). Use Enter to pause or start the game.

Gameplay Tips

  • Time limit decisions: Matches that go to time are decided by a scoring system that strongly favors your remaining health over sheer aggression. Don’t trade unnecessary blows if you have the life lead.
  • Grow your moveset: Custom characters start out weak. Focus on landing clean strikes against single-player opponents to steal their moves and round out your offensive options.
