Game description:

Hexxagon is a 1993 DOS puzzle game developed by Software Creations. Played on a hexagonal grid, it is a strategic board game where the goal is to dominate the board by converting your opponent’s pieces to your color.

How to play

Players take turns selecting one of their pieces to either duplicate or jump. Duplicating a piece into an adjacent space creates a new piece, while jumping moves the piece two spaces away. Any opponent pieces adjacent to your landing spot are immediately converted to your color. The game ends when the board is full or one player is eliminated; the player with the most pieces wins. Control the game using the same keys that are used when playing under MS DOS. For fullscreen, press ‘Right Alt’ + ‘Enter’.

Tips

  • Duplicating your pieces into adjacent spaces is often safer than jumping, as it builds a solid defensive cluster.
  • Look for opportunities to jump into the middle of your opponent’s pieces to convert multiple tiles in a single turn.
