Attack Animal Gakuen is a fast-paced 1987 rail shooter for the NES that brings a uniquely surreal twist to the classic Space Harrier formula. Playing as the jetpack-equipped schoolgirl Nokko, you must fly and shoot your way through pseudo-3D stages to quell an uprising of mutant animals that have taken over your academy. How to Play

The objective is to survive each fast-scrolling stage by shooting down waves of enemies and dodging incoming fire, eventually facing a boss at the end of the level. As a high-speed rail shooter, constantly keeping on the move is essential. Use the D-pad (mapped to your keyboard’s arrow keys) to fly around the screen, and press the A or B buttons (Z or X) to fire your weapon. The Start button (Enter) pauses the game.

Tips

Never stay in one place; fly in wide circles or figure-eight patterns around the screen to effectively avoid enemy projectiles that aim at your last position. Keep your finger held down on the fire button continuously while sweeping across formations of incoming enemies to maximize your damage.
