Alien 3 is a fast-paced action-platformer released for the Sega Genesis in 1992 by Probe Software. Playing as Ripley, you must navigate the maze-like corridors of the Fiorina 161 prison colony to rescue trapped prisoners before a strict time limit expires, all while fending off relentless Xenomorphs.
How to play
Your primary objective in each stage is to locate and free all the prisoners and reach the exit before time runs out. The Sega Genesis controls map the D-pad (arrow keys) to movement, A (S) to switch weapons, B (X) to fire, and C (Z) to jump. You start with a pulse rifle, flamethrower, grenades, and a radar that indicates the general direction of nearby prisoners.
Tips
- Use your radar frequently; it points directly to the nearest prisoner and is essential for planning an efficient route through the sprawling levels.
- Conserve your flamethrower and grenades for tougher encounters or crowded areas, relying on the pulse rifle for individual enemies.
- Falling from great heights results in taking damage, so descend carefully and look before dropping down shafts.
