X-Men vs. Street Fighter is a legendary 2D crossover fighting game released for the Arcade in 1996 by Capcom. As the first official entry in the Marvel vs. Capcom series, it broke new ground by pitting Marvel’s mutant superheroes against Capcom’s iconic martial artists in high-speed, tag-team combat.
How to Play
Select a team of two characters and battle opposing duos until both rival fighters are defeated. The arcade controls utilize a joystick for movement and six attack buttons (light, medium, and heavy punches and kicks). In the browser, movement is mapped to the arrow keys, with attacks generally on Z, X, C, A, S, and D. Press Enter or Shift to insert coins and start the match.
Tips
Strategic tagging is essential for survival. Tagging out allows your resting character to slowly recover the red portion of their lost health. Additionally, practice your Aerial Raves (air combos) by hitting opponents with a launcher attack, then jumping immediately to follow up with mid-air strikes for massive damage.
