Game description:

Zoop is a fast-paced puzzle game released for the Super Nintendo Entertainment System in 1995. You take control of a triangle in the center of the grid, defending against an ever-encroaching invasion of colored shapes. Instead of falling blocks like many puzzles of the era, the shapes push in from all four sides, requiring quick reflexes and spatial awareness to survive.

How to Play

Your goal is to prevent any shape from touching the center square. You eliminate pieces by shooting them with your triangle. If your triangle is the same color as the target shape, the shape is destroyed. If the colors are different, your triangle swaps colors with the target shape. Use the D-pad (Arrow Keys) to aim in four directions, and press A or B (Z or X on your keyboard) to shoot and swap colors.

Tips

  • Always keep an eye on the edges of the screen; it’s easy to get tunnel vision on one side while pieces pile up behind you.
  • When you swap colors with a piece, immediately look for a cluster of that new color to clear out multiple shapes quickly.
  • Don’t be afraid to shoot mismatched colors just to rearrange the board and set up larger chain reactions.
