Zool: Ninja of the ‘Nth’ Dimension is a fast-paced action-platformer developed by Gremlin Graphics and ported to the Sega Master System in 1993. Originally designed as a high-speed mascot to rival Sonic the Hedgehog, players control Zool, an acrobatic gremlin-ninja from the Nth dimension, as he runs, jumps, and climbs his way through vibrant, candy-themed worlds to earn his ninja ranking.
How to Play
Your objective is to reach the exit of each stage before the timer runs out. To unlock the exit, you must first collect a specific quota of sweets and items scattered throughout the level. Zool can climb walls, shoot projectiles, and perform a spinning jump attack to defeat enemies.
Controls:
- D-Pad (Arrow Keys): Move / Climb walls
- Button 1 (Z): Shoot
- Button 2 (X): Jump (press again in mid-air to spin attack)
Tips
- Maintain Momentum: Zool moves very quickly. Keep your speed up to clear large gaps, but watch out for hidden enemies that might appear off-screen.
- Climb Everything: Zool can stick to and climb almost any vertical surface. Use this ability to find alternate paths, hidden items, and reach higher platforms.
- Collect the Sweets: Don’t just rush to the end! You must collect the required quota of items in each stage to unlock the exit token, so explore thoroughly.
