Game description:

Zoids – Jashin Fukkatsu! Genobreaker Hen (also known as Evil God Revived! Geno Breaker Story) is a turn-based role-playing game developed by Will and published by Tomy in 2000 for the Game Boy Color. Released exclusively in Japan, this deep RPG focuses on building and commanding a team of iconic mechanical beasts from the Zoids universe.

How to play

Battles revolve around managing a specialized team of Zoids and engaging in turn-based combat. You must balance your squad within strict size limits (small, medium, and large classes) and customize your mechs using various parts like assault, missile, radar, and cannon systems. Because this is a Japanese release, the game is entirely in kana.

For the browser emulator, the Game Boy Color controls are mapped to your keyboard: use the Arrow Keys for movement, Z and X for the A and B buttons to confirm or cancel actions, and Enter or Shift for Start and Select.

Tips

  • Take advantage of speed: Flying-type Zoids typically act first in the turn order, allowing you to strike or apply status effects before the enemy can react.
  • Specialize your weapons: Unique attacks are tied to the parts you equip. Grouping parts of the same category (such as focusing heavily on melee or cannons) lets your Zoids share skill points to unleash powerful abilities.
