Developed by TOSE and published by Intec in 1993, Yume Maboroshi no Gotoku is a Super Famicom role-playing game based on Hiroshi Motomiya’s manga. It presents an alternate history of the Sengoku period where Oda Nobunaga survives the Honnoji incident and sets his sights on world domination. The game blends traditional turn-based exploration with a tactical war mode similar to the Ogre Battle series.
How to Play
Your objective is to lead Oda Nobunaga’s forces to conquer not just Japan, but the world. Control your characters using the arrow keys for movement. In the browser emulator, the SNES action buttons (A, B, X, Y) are mapped to Z, X, A, and S, while the L and R shoulder buttons use Q and W. Press Enter for Start and Shift for Select to navigate menus and manage your army.
Tips
- Take advantage of the class system to upgrade your characters’ abilities before engaging in major tactical battles.
- Pay close attention to unit placement and terrain during the war mode phases, as tactical advantages are crucial for overcoming larger enemy forces.
