Developed by Midway and Acclaim, WWF WrestleMania: The Arcade Game is a 1995 action sports title that brought fast-paced, exaggerated professional wrestling to the SNES. Rather than a traditional wrestling simulation, the game features digitized graphics of famous WWF superstars and plays much closer to a frantic arcade fighter, complete with high-flying combos, special moves, and over-the-top attacks.
How to play
The objective is to defeat your opponents by depleting their health bar in fast-paced wrestling matches. The controls are mapped to your keyboard: move your wrestler with the arrow keys, and execute attacks using Z and X (A and B buttons), A and S (X and Y buttons), and Q and E (L and R buttons). Enter acts as Start and Shift as Select.
Tips
Because the game is built on a fighting game engine, aggressive offense is rewarded over technical wrestling strategy. Focus on learning your chosen wrestler’s unique special moves and figuring out how to string standard strikes into devastating multi-hit combos to overwhelm the opponent.
