World Heroes (Europe) is a classic 2D fighting game originally developed by ADK and ported to the SNES in 1993. The game brings together a roster of legendary historical figures—including ninjas, knights, and wrestlers—using a time machine to determine the world’s strongest fighter.

How to Play

The goal is to defeat each opponent in best-of-three matches to reach the final boss, Geegus. The game features two main modes: Normal Game, a traditional fighting tournament, and Death Match, where arenas are filled with environmental hazards like fire ropes and landmines. To play, use the arrow keys to move, jump, and crouch. The Z, X, A, and S keys map to the SNES face buttons for executing light and heavy punches and kicks. Special moves are performed using specific directional inputs combined with button presses.

Tips

• In Death Match mode, focus on throws or sweeping attacks to knock your opponent into the environmental hazards for massive damage.
• You can reflect projectiles back at your opponent by timing a block or attack just as the fireball is about to hit you.
• Practice your character’s special moves; for example, Hanzo’s and Fuuma’s ninja techniques are great for controlling space, while Muscle Power excels at close-range grappling.
