Wheel of Fortune is a digital adaptation of the classic TV game show, published by ShareData for DOS in 1987. You compete against computer opponents or other players to solve word puzzles across various categories by spinning the wheel, guessing consonants, and buying vowels to accumulate cash.
How to play
The goal is to guess the hidden phrase before your opponents do. On your turn, you can spin the wheel to guess a consonant, buy a vowel for $250, or attempt to solve the puzzle. Be careful when spinningโhitting “Bankrupt” or “Lose a Turn” ends your turn and costs you your current round’s earnings. Use your keyboard’s letter keys to input your guesses and number keys to select menu actions.
Tips
- Buy vowels early: Buying vowels (A, E, I, O, U) can quickly reveal common letter patterns and help you solve the puzzle before risking a spin.
- Know when to solve: Once you are reasonably sure of the answer, solve the puzzle to secure your winnings rather than spinning again and risking bankruptcy.
