Wetrix GB is a unique isometric puzzle game released for the Game Boy Color in 1999. In this inventive adaptation of the original 3D game, you are tasked with managing a dynamic landscape by dropping pieces of land to form enclosures. As rain falls onto the playing field, these enclosures become lakes that hold the water, preventing it from draining off the edges of the board.
How to Play
Your objective is to trap as much water as possible using Ubi-blocks to build walls and craters, and then use fireballs to evaporate the trapped water for massive points. If too much water spills over the edge of the landscape and fills your drain meter, the game is over.
- Movement (D-pad): Arrow Keys
- A / B Buttons: Z / X
- Start / Select: Enter / Shift
Tips
- Build deep lakes: Thicker and higher walls can hold more water, which multiplies the points you earn when evaporating it.
- Watch out for ice and bombs: Ice blocks will freeze your water and stop it from leaking temporarily, while bombs can blow holes in your landscape, destroying your carefully built walls.
- Repair quickly: Always try to patch up any holes near the edges of the board as soon as possible to prevent water from steadily draining away.
