Released for the Famicom/NES in 1992, Wanpaku Kokkun no Gourmet World (known in the West as Panic Restaurant) is a colorful action-platformer by EIM and Taito. You play as Kokkun, a chef whose restaurant has been cursed by a bitter rival. Armed with a trusty frying pan, you must jump and thwack your way through food-themed stages, battling rogue ingredients like walking carrots, bouncing apples, and aggressive pizzas to reclaim your kitchen.
How to Play
Your goal is to reach the end of each culinary stage and defeat the boss to progress. Timing and spacing your frying pan attacks are key to taking out enemies safely.

Tips
- Weapon Upgrades: Breaking pots can reveal new weapons, like a long-reaching spoon or a fork that lets you pogo-jump on enemies. While fun to use, remember that your default frying pan has an excellent swing arc that hits slightly above your head.
- Bonus Slot Machine: Collect the coins dropped by defeated enemies. You can spend them in the slot machine mini-game between levels to win extra lives or health points.
- Patience with Bosses: Boss patterns repeat clearly. Focus on dodging their attacks first and only strike when they leave themselves open.
