Urusei Yatsura – Lum no Wedding Bell is an action-platformer developed by Jaleco and released for the NES in 1986. Based on the beloved anime and manga series, the game is a reimagined port of the arcade title Momoko 120%. You control the alien princess Lum as she climbs through a series of increasingly difficult, vertically scrolling stages to reach her wedding, battling bizarre enemies and avoiding hazards along the way.
How to Play
Your objective is to guide Lum to the roof of each building before time runs out. In your browser, the default NES controls apply: use the Arrow Keys to move and climb ladders, Z to jump or use trampolines, and X to fire Lum’s electrical attacks. Press Enter for Start and Shift for Select.
Tips
- Keep moving upward: After an earthquake shakes the screen, fire will begin to rise from the bottom. Don’t linger too long on lower floors or you will be caught.
- Master the trampolines: Many gaps require you to use trampolines to gain enough height. Practice your timing, as missing a jump can drop you into the path of enemies or the advancing fire.
