Game description:

Ultimate Mortal Kombat 3 is a fast-paced 2D fighting game released for the Super Nintendo (SNES) in 1996. Serving as an expanded version of Mortal Kombat 3, it brings back fan-favorite characters like Scorpion, Reptile, and Classic Sub-Zero while introducing new features like 2-on-2 tag matches and an 8-player tournament mode. With its frantic combo system, devastating fatalities, and signature digitized graphics, it stands as one of the defining competitive fighters of the 16-bit era.

How to Play

Your objective is to deplete your opponent's health bar across a best-of-three match using martial arts, special moves, and brutal finishing maneuvers.

  • Movement: Arrow Keys (D-pad)
  • Attacks: Z, X, A, S keys (mapped to SNES A, B, X, Y buttons for high and low strikes)
  • Block / Run: Q / W keys (mapped to the L and R shoulder buttons)
  • Start / Select: Enter / Shift

Tips

  • Use the Run Mechanic: This game is highly aggressive. Use the run button to quickly close the distance and apply pressure before your opponent can react.
  • Memorize Dial-a-Combos: Every character has specific pre-programmed button sequences that deal massive damage. Learn your main fighter's core combos to punish mistakes heavily.
  • Master Anti-Airs: The classic crouching uppercut (Down + High Punch) remains an excellent tool to knock opponents out of the air when they jump towards you.
