Developed by Beam Software and released in 1994, True Lies is a top-down action shooter for the SNES based on the James Cameron film. Players control secret agent Harry Tasker as he battles the Crimson Jihad terrorist group across familiar locations like a mansion, shopping mall, and subway.

How to play

The objective is to clear each stage of enemies and fulfill mission goals, such as destroying radar dishes, while protecting unarmed bystanders. Use the arrow keys (↑↓←→) to move. The main action keys (Z, X, A, and S) handle firing your weapon, swapping between your pistol, Uzi, and shotgun, throwing grenades, and dodge-rolling. Use the shoulder buttons (Q and E) to lock your aim and strafe while shooting.

Tips

Watch your fire in crowded areas; killing more than three civilians in a level forces a restart.
The dodge-roll grants temporary invincibility, making it essential for crossing open areas or evading boss attacks.
